Redlac Real Estate and Mauritius Golf Federation Join Forces to Introduce More Women to Golf

REDLAC X MGF WOMEN GOLF INITIATION

Women in Golf – Leading on and off the Course | Tamarina Golf Club | 22 August 2026

Golf is more than a sport. It is a game of confidence, concentration, connection and opportunity — and on 22 August 2026, a new group of women in Mauritius had the opportunity to discover exactly that.

At Tamarina Golf Club, the Mauritius Golf Federation (MGF), with the support of REDLAC REAL ESTATE LLC, hosted its first Women in Golf – Leading on and off the Course initiation session, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for women to experience golf, many for the very first time.

The initiative brought together 20 women from different backgrounds, following an encouraging response of nearly 40 registrations. For many participants, it was their first opportunity to pick up a golf club, take a swing and experience the game from the course itself.

Creating Opportunities Through Golf

The initiative was created with a clear objective: to encourage greater female participation in golf in Mauritius and make the sport more accessible to women who may not previously have had the opportunity to discover it.

Throughout the morning, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of golf, including putting and swing techniques, under the guidance of experienced coaches.

What began with first attempts and a few understandable nerves quickly developed into a morning filled with enthusiasm, encouragement, laughter and connection.

The focus was not on performance or competition. Instead, the session was about discovering the game, learning new skills and, most importantly, enjoying the experience.

Leading on and Off the Course

The theme of the programme — “Leading on and off the Course” — reflects the wider values that golf can bring beyond the fairways.

Golf encourages concentration, patience, strategic thinking, confidence and decision-making. These qualities can be valuable not only on the golf course but also in professional and personal life.

For REDLAC REAL ESTATE, supporting an initiative that creates opportunities for women strongly aligns with the company’s values of inclusion, empowerment and creating meaningful connections.

Through its partnership with the Mauritius Golf Federation and Redlac Real Estate is proud to support initiatives that contribute to the continued growth of golf in Mauritius while encouraging more women to become part of the sport.

A Collaborative Effort

The success of the Women in Golf initiation session was made possible through the collaboration and support of several organisations and individuals committed to growing the game.

Redlac Real Estate and the Mauritius Golf Federation extend their sincere appreciation to the Ladies Golf Union (LGU), The R&A, The Talent Factory, Tamarina Golf Club, the coaches and all the participants who contributed to making this first initiative possible.

The Talent Factory played an important role in the implementation of the initiative, working alongside the MGF and partners to create an engaging experience for the participants.

Breaking Barriers and Building Confidence

For many women, taking that first step can be the biggest challenge.

Golf can sometimes appear unfamiliar or difficult to access, but initiatives such as Women in Golf help break down those barriers by providing an opportunity to learn in a supportive environment.

The session at Tamarina demonstrated how powerful that first opportunity can be. Twenty women arrived ready to discover something new. They left having experienced their first putts, first swings and, for many, their first real connection with the game.

More importantly, they left with the possibility of continuing their journey.

A Shared Commitment to Growing the Game

Redlac Real Estate is proud to collaborate with the Mauritius Golf Federation in supporting initiatives that make golf more accessible and inclusive.

Together with the Ladies Golf Union, The R&A, The Talent Factory, Tamarina Golf Club, the coaches and the women who participated, this Women in Golf session represents an important step towards creating a stronger and more diverse golfing community in Mauritius.

From the first swing to the next opportunity, the journey continues.
